The arrest was confirmed by the Sawla District Police Commander, ASP Degraft Armah Adjei. According to him, he received a call at 10:30pm Sunday that some armed men have attacked the community and immediately he organized his men. ASP Degraft added that when they got to the community, the armed men were there and some houses set ablaze. “So we quickly arrested the suspects made up of  two chiefs and six heavily built men and ensured the place was calm,” he said He added that investigations revealed the Kongwura sent people to the community to take royalties. He indicated that the residents, however, refused to give because they claim they did not get good yield. “This brought a misunderstanding between them and the Kongwura is alleged to have sent the suspects to go and attack the community.” He added: “Two people have sustained cutlass injuries and are currently being transported to the Sawla hospital for medical attention.” The suspects are currently at the Sawla District Police Station helping with investigation. Meanwhile, calm has since returned to the community with business activities going on. Source: 3news.com|Ghana]]>
