Prez. Mahama makes first public appearance after assassination attempt

President John Dramani Mahama is making his first public appearance after a failed attempt by a convicted gunman to kill him at his place of worship in Accra.

The President who was not at church at the time the failed assassin was arrested, took a 7-day leave from Office and resumed work on August 3.

President John Dramani Mahama will today launch a process for the preparation of a long-term National Development Plan for the country.

It will be the first ever long-term development plan spanning a period of 40 years.

The President, who resumed work on Monday after the one-week break, will this week also inaugurate a new tomato processing and packaging factory, and the completed Fufulso- Sawla road.

On Friday, the President will inspect ongoing works at the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange and open to traffic two of theĀ  fly-overs at the Interchange.
