Convener of the Forum of Governance and Justice and an expert in governance, Dr. Clement Apaak, has asked President of the Republic, John Dramani Mahama, to ignore the call of Pastor Mensa Otabil, to speak on the issue of audio recordings attributed to the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church.

In a media conference organized on Monday, November 12, 2012, Pastor Mensa Otabil appealed to President Mahama to “rise and speak” on the issue.

But Dr. Apaak says the president may not be in a position to know the purported “affiliates and surrogates”.

“There are thousands of NDC members,” he said on TV 3’s News @ 10 hosted by ace broadcast journalist Bright Nana Amfoh.

“How do you expect the president to know who ‘doctored’ the audio recording?” he asks.

“If you know them, bring their names,” Dr Apaak challenges Otabil.
