PPA receives 2019 ESQR Quality Choice Prize

The Public Procurement Authority (PPA) has received a Quality Choice Prize Award from the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR).  The award was presented to the PPA in Berlin in recognition of its prominent initiatives and the demonstration of exceptional leadership in quality management that have delivered significant savings to Ghana’s economy. Chief executive of PPA, Mr. A.B Adjei and some board members received the award. The Quality Choice Prize organized by ESQR, undertakes a comprehensive assessment of the initiatives and strategies that business leaders across the world implement in their companies and organizations. The annual awards thus acknowledge the efforts of exceptional and talented employers and employees and provide motivation for continuous progress. Receiving the award, Mr Adjei underscored the need for world leaders to recognize their place as critical change agents and attach a deeper commitment and passion to the delivery of their work. According to him, procurement has become one such important instrument to effect change and bring about economic transformation in developing countries. Other award winners over the years include the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Bolivia, State Bank of India, Chapman University (USA), Bedford College (the United Kingdom), Delta Airlines (USA), BMW Group from Germany among others.
