A Former Deputy Minister of Information, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, is wondering the kind of message Vice resident Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will present to the delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as part of his campaign to be elected flagbearer.

In the view of Kwakye Ofosu, the Vice President, as head of the Economic Management Team (EMT), has plunged the people into severe economic hardships and will not have any good message for them.

He was commenting on the just-ended super delegates conference of the NPP that took place last Saturday August 26.

Vice President Dr Bawumia swept 629 of the votes (68.15%) followed by Kennedy Agyapong and Alan Kyerematen with 132 votes (14.3%) and 95 votes (10.29%) respectively.

Francis Addai-Nimoh and Mr Boakye Agyarko polled 9 votes each, resulting in a run-off between the two of them to determine who places 5th.

In a tweet, Kwakye Ofosu said “Whichever way you look at it, Bawumia has been a catastrophic failure at the one job he had as head of the EMT-managing the economy. Exactly what is he going to tell the electorate who he has plunged into hardships and suffering through hopeless incompetence?

“As of the Head of the EMT,over 30 different taxes have been introduced since 2017 with more on the way.He told lies in opposition while grinning from ear to ear. Now those lies have left him totally discredited.”
