Former President John Dramani Mahama insists the 2024 elections will be a boot-to-boot contest between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He has, therefore, charged his supporters to get ready for this contest.
Mr Mahama rallied support on Wednesday, March 15 when he met party supporters in Sunyani as part of his campaign tour for the NDC Presidential Primaries in May.
He announced that party officials who will work on the elections will be vigorously trained ahead of the polls in 2024.
He stated that these officials will be trained at least five times on collation and transmission of results prior to the polls.
By so doing, he stressed, the NDC will have all results by midnight.
“2024 elections is boot-to-boot,” he emphasised in Twi, explaining that it is just like in football where a player puts his foot down and his opponents also challenge in equal measure as part of man marking.
“On 2024 7th December, all of us here will not sleep. We will be on wake-keeping until the NDC gets its results of victory. So, put your party offices in shape.”
