The members of Invisible Forces in Tema[/caption] A member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) communications team, Yaw Appiah Kubi says the spate of lawlessness in the country is as a result of ingratitude of politicians. “You use people to get political power, after which, policies are not made to alleviate their problems and that is what is breeding the lawlessness” he argued. Mr. Appiah Kubi made the observation on TV3’s New Day on Tuesday hosted by Bright Nana Amfoh while contributing to discussions on the current trend of lawlessness by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) vigilante groups like the Delta Force and Invisible Forces. He charged the government to urgently tackle the lawless behaviour of NPP supporters “to minimize the impact on Ghanaians…because a country that has a high sense of insecurity is in danger”. “Well meaning Ghanaians have spoken against it and all we hear is the rhetoric by the NPP. It is becoming too much”, Mr. Appiah Kubi noted. The National Nasara Coordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kamal-Deen Abdulai would not accept claims that “government has not been able to stop vigilantism in the country”. He explained, “Due to politics of the day, people want to portray government in bad way. People think it is their interest to see the government of the day looked bad.” He however implored the party to be “active with our supporters to be assured that we are with them.
