The Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tamale, Sule Salifu, has picked nominations to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Primaries for the Tamale Central Constituency.

Sule Salifu, until his nomination as the mayor of Tamale, served as the Northern Regional Director of Communications.

The forms were picked on his behalf by a former Northern Regional Director of Communications, Ibrahim Mohammed Sheriff, who has been appointed as Sule Salifu’s campaign spokesperson.

Tamale Central is one of the nine orphan constituencies in the Northern Region the governing party has opened nominations for to elect prospective candidates by year-end for the 2024 parliamentary elections.

The seat was created prior to the Ghanaian parliamentary election in 2004.
