A member of staff at the Office of Former President John Dramani Mahama, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, says the embattled Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral of Ghana is an operative of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The former Deputy Communications Minister said Reverend Victor Kusi Boateng, also known as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, is the man leading Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign within the Christian community.

Mr Kwakye Ofosu alleged this while joining discussions on TV3‘s New Day on Tuesday, January 17.

“What at all will he do with Rev Kusi Boateng and not do with Kwabena Adu Gyamfi?”

The discussions hovered around the larger allegations by North Tongu Member of Parliament (MP) Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa that Rev Kusi Boateng has been engaged in identity theft.

“How does a man of god hide his identity?”

As promised, Mr Okudzeto Ablakwa on Monday presented documents to prove that the Secretary of the Board of Trustees travelled on a number of passports, one of which bore a different date of birth and a different TIN.

He, therefore, petitioned the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) on Monday to investigate the cleric over conflict of interest. His alleged company is said to have transacted business with the Secretariat.

The NDC lawmaker said one of the registered passports belonged to Mr Adu Gyamfi, who has been named as a Director of JNS Talent Centre Limited.
