Presidential staffer Alex Martey is promising to deliver the Ningo-Prampram seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) if voted as the parliamentary candidate on Saturday, September 28. Mr Martey, who is with the Operations Directorate at the Jubilee House, said he is on a rescue mission. He made the comment in an interview with 3news.com. He says his campaign is in the form of a summer hat with a roof of three pillars which points to the world as he intends to rescue Ningo Prampram from the hands of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). The three pillars are to “empower” and “unite” the party’s executives who he claims are no more active. He has resolved to rally all contestants both those who may not win and the current for a united front. Since 1992, the NDC has annexed Ningo Prampram. According to him, the constituents are becoming discerning and even in 1992, when the NPP did not vote, E.T Mensah, as an individual, would have claimed the seat for NPP and not NDC if he had stood for the Elephants. He highlighted some achievement made by the Busia tradition in Ningo Prampram, citing the roads, polyclinic, pipe-borne water, police station, the Djagy Bridge, and suchlike as projects initiated by the NPP under former President John Agyekum Kufuor. Mr. Martey believes the people in his constituency are looking for someone who is humble, respectful and would listen to them, the son from the Busia tradition to take over and continue their achievement which has been left behind. The 44-year-old Management Consultant says he is the best bet for the NPP, ahead of the 2020 general elections. Mr. Martey promised to deliver nothing but victory for the NPP by beating Sam George of the NDC with huge imagine of votes. By Maxwell Nkansah|3news.com|Ghana ]]>
