Parliamentary Candidate aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Abuakwa North Constituency Palgrave Boakye-Danquah has toured police stations in the constituency.

The tour over the weekend was to ascertain for himself security concerns in the Constituency.

He was led by the District Crime Officer, DSP Fred Kpetigo, together with Chief Inspector Barnabas Mends as they took two-and-a-half hours to visit Akyem New Tafo, Akyem Kukurantumi and Akyem Osiem to have a first-hand information on security issues, challenges and how best he can help solve them.

The Government Spokesperson on Governance and Security promised to, as a matter of urgency, provide washrooms and mattresses for inmates, provide printers for the Osiem Police Station, provide an internet service for the District CID’s office and also promise to always work hand-in-hand with the Police administration to improve security in the constituency.

DSP Fred Kpetigo was thankful to him that at least for the first time, someone of his calibre has visited them to at least know their challenges, some of which are lack of adequate personnel, lack of adequate furniture, inadequate washrooms for inmates and no mattresses for inmates.

This is one of many visits of Mr Boakye-Danquah to the constituency as he laces his boots to become the next MP for the Abuakwa North Constituency.

Last week, he joined the Akyem Tafo Omanhene, Osaberima Adusei Peasah IV, for the ceremony to mark the commencement of the Ohum Festival.
