Nana Kwabena Bonsu Kanin III, the Chief of Ampabamehene, a suburb of Bantama in the Ashanti Region has thrown his weight behind Francis Asenso-Boakye, Member of Parliament for Bantama for a second term, ahead of the party’s parliamentary primaries on January 27.

The statement was made by the Chief, who is also Otumfuo’s Suaaduhene, during a ceremony to commission a newly constructed police station by the Bantama MP at Ohwim-Amanfrom on Janaury 23.

The project is the third police station to be commissioned in the Constituency under the leadership of Mr. Asenso-Boakye.

The chief, who doubles as the Otumfuo Suaaduhene applauded the MP for championing several developmental projects in the Constituency since he assumed office in 2021, which has eased the burden of residents of many communities in the area.

He therefore pleaded with all delegates in the New Patriotic Party in Bantama to overwhelmingly vote for Mr. Asenso-Boakye and support him to continue the good works he has started.

“I am beneficiary of the many good works of our MP, especially the road networks from Abrepo junction to my place which was in a deplorable state. Since Asenso-Boakye assumed office, the road networks have been constructed making movement smooth and safer”, he added.

He further highlighted other projects undertaken by the MP in the areas of education, and security among other sectors, and believes that delegates and constituents of the Bantama Constituency should support him to continue.

This is the latest endorsement in favour of the Member of Parliament, following similar approvals received from religious leaders, Opinion leaders, constituents and delegates in the Bantama Constituency and Ashanti Region due to his proactiveness and leadership.

In a similar vein, the Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), Sam Pynn has added his voice to the many calling on delegates to give Asenso-Boakye a second term.

“Asenso-Boakye has shown consistency in promoting the welfare of Bantama. Just a few weeks ago, he commissioned a new library in Bantama, and today, we are seeing this police station that will greatly enhance the security of this community and its environs. Let’s continue to support him to bring more development to this place”, said the KMA boss.
