The youth wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has condemned Bono Region Chairman Kwame Baffoe’s statement on former President John Dramani Mahama.

National Youth Organizer Henry Nana Boakye, speaking on Akoma FM‘s current affairs and political show GhanAkoma Wednesday, February 16, described Mr Baffoe’s statement as unfortunate and advised others against following suit.

“I want to tell the youth of this great party to remain calm, though what Kwame Baffoe said is unfortunate, as a party we condemn it and I will also urge party members especially communicators to be circumspect in their submission.”

The police on Tuesday, February 15 invited Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, to assist in investigations into a statement he made about the former president plotting to stage a coup d’etat with al Qaeda alliance.

Mr Baffoe, who was detained in police custody, is expected to appear in court Wednesday, February 16.

Meanwhile, the NPP National Youth Organizer has cautioned party followers to remain calm and avoid trooping to the court premises to show solidarity for their party regional chairman.
