A leading member of the Bawumia Must Win Campaign in the Western Region, Abdul Ganiyu, believes the best option the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) can offer Ghanaians in the midst of global challenges is Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

“It is common knowledge that there is a global challenge in terms of cost of living, climate change and hostilities. Ours is to present a leader who will be able to work at finding solutions to all that is happening around us. Whether in-country or with our neighbours.

“Dr. Bawumia has proven to be the most hard working Vice President Ghana has even had. Look at the G4Oil which has helped steady fuel prices. Look at his digitisation efforts and the numerous benefits thereof. And indeed his sterling strategies employed to aid our economic recovery.

“So I want to plead with delegates to appreciate the fact that this primaries is not an exercise to elect someone for only the party but beyond it. Someone who has a proven record of being a problem solver and can also be a global icon for Ghana.”

He was speaking with Connect FM after a meeting with delegates at the Essikadu-Ketan Constituency.

It is also his conviction that the party has been presented with a golden opportunity to demonstrate to Ghanaians that it is the most peaceful, united and all embracing “and Dr. Bawumia epitomises that”.

He claims delegates have taken notice of the “show of maturity” Dr. Bawumia has exhibited in the face of propaganda against him “and even from some leading party figures,” and are convinced that “their votes will be better spent on him who can confidently guarantee the party’s breaking the eight strive”.

“Since this race started a lot of mud has been thrown the way of Dr. Bawumia but all this while he has not responded, has remained focused and steadfast. He continues to talk about what he can offer, preaches peace and unity. This can only be a mark of a true leader who is ready to work with anyone.”

From what he has gathered so far from the team’s interactions with delegates in the region, the former regional organiser is brimming with extreme confidence that Vice President Dr. Muhamudu Bawumia will get more than 80 percent of votes on November 4.

“Western region will be among the top three regions to give him more votes.”
