Dr Donald Agumenu has expressed his gratitude after successfully passing the vetting process, which clears him to contest in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries for the Ketu North constituency.

The former aide to the late former Ghana President Jerry John Rawlings went through the process on Wednesday and is now looking forward to the upcoming elections, which he is confident of winning.

In a statement released by his team, Dr Agumenu thanked his supporters and delegates for their unwavering support and love throughout their journey to build a better Ketu North. He also expressed his gratitude for their presence during the vetting process.

The statement acknowledged that the vetting process marked the end of a phase and the beginning of a more challenging one. However, Dr Agumenu expressed his confidence in the support of his team and the community.

He affirmed that their quest was to work together with the community to build on the existing legacy and create a Ketu North that everyone can be proud of. Dr Agumenu emphasized the importance of the community’s participation in this journey and implored them to remain resolute.

Team Agumenu also revealed that they chose Number #3 on the ballot, which they see as a divine endorsement of their collective bid to have their candidate become the third Member of Parliament to serve Ketu North.

Finally, the statement concluded with a call to continue engaging with the community to ensure a resounding victory on May 13, 2023, and subsequently, a return of the NDC to power on December 7, 2024.
