The Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has congratulated James Gyakye Quayson for his victory in Tuesday’s by-election.

She said the second coming of the Assin North MP will be a miracle not only to the constituents but also the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the party the two belong to, and Parliament as a whole.

Ms Affo-Toffey, however, expressed gratitude to God as well as the national executives of the NDC for seeing through with the crucial by-election.

“We came. We saw. We conquered,” she wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.

She added that the victory has once again seen the NDC send the New Patriotic Party (NPP) where they belong.

The Jomoro MP, who suffered a similar fate regarding dual citizenship, had assured Mr Gyakye Quayson of victory.

She also joined the party leadership to vigorously campaign in the Constituency ahead of the by-election.

“As I promised, the NDC, the good people of Assin North and God will never let you down and they have proved it with this win,” she wrote.
