National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC) Moses Dani Baah has said that Madam Janet Nabla stands suspended as the General Secretary of the party therefore she cannot organise and supervise any internal elections of the party.
Mr Dani Baah indicated that the PNC has taken notice of what they described as the subtle and surreptitious attempts by Madam Janet Nabla to organise and supervise Constituency and Regional Conferences as part of a supposed reorganisation process of the party.
In a statement, he said “Leadership is compelled by her belligerent posture to issue this statement for the attention of the members and executives of the PNC as well as the general public to disregard her as she is on suspension and does not have the power or locus to be engaged in what she is purporting to be doing.
“Recall that in September 2021, the leadership of the party acting on the report of the Disciplinary Committee of the Party took a unanimous decision to suspend her as General Secretary for gross misconduct and dereliction of duty. Since then, no decision has been taken to revoke that suspension.”
He added “As such, the PNC through this statement admonishes all and sundry not to deal with her on matters concerning the party as she is only seeking to destroy the fortunes of the party through her selfishness, arrogance and disrespect for authority.
“As unfortunate as the situation might be, the matter of her suspension is still in court and is yet to be determined.
“Following from this, Janet Nabla cannot supervise any elections in the party and any outcome of her purported supervision and election of executives is null, void and without effect as she stands suspended.”
