The Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has expressed grief over the decision by the High Court to hear the case involving the deposed Assin North Member of Parliament, James Gyakye Quayson, on a daily basis.

The Attorney-General had argued for expeditious trial, which demands that the case be heard on daily basis.

The defense team, led by Tsatsu Tsikata, urged the court to give Mr. Gyakye Quayson the opportunity to contest the Assin North by-election on Tuesday, June 27, before the commencement of the case, but the Court did not heed to the plea.

The application for the High Court to vary its order to hear the James Gyakye Quayson case on a daily basis has been adjourned to Friday, June 23.

Reacting to the development on her social media handles, the Jomoro MP assured Mr. Gyakye Quayson of her support and that of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and that of the people of Assin North Constituency.
