Former President Jerry John Rawlings has denied media reports that he had expressed anger at the secession campaign by the Homeland Study Group Foundation (HSGF). Deputy Minister of Defense, Major [retd] Derrick Oduro was reported to have said the former President who hails from the Volta Region had written to the government expressing reservations about the activities of the separatists. “Former President Rawlings and Dr Obed Asamoah have written to the government they are not happy by group’s activities”, Deputy Minister of Defense was reported by MyNewsGh.com to have told Kumasi-based Otec FM.
