The district level elections will be held on the 19th of December this year.
This was announced by Chair of the Electoral Commission (EC) Jean Mensa at a press conference in Accra on Thursday, August 17.
The elections are going to place in 6,252 electoral areas and with 38,672 polling stations nationwide.
She assured that details of the elections will be made to the public soon, TV3’s Evelyne Tengmaa who was at the press conference reported.
“As a commission, we encourage eligible voters to take advantage of voter registration and register to vote.
“We also entreat the citizenry to participate in the district level elections which will be held on the 19th of December as that is the surest way to ensure development at the local level,” she said.
