Member of Parliament for Effutu in the Central Region, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has pointed out that every campaign promise that was made by President Akufo-Addo on his campaign trail during the has been fulfilled to the letter.

He said unlike the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), every promise that was penned in the manifesto of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been accomplished.

The deputy majority leader in Parliament posited that everything that was said as a major policy intervention programme by President Akufo-Addo has been accomplished by the NPP-led government in the country.

He cited policy interventions by the government to curb the graduate unemployment situation in the country, like the Nation’s Builders Corps (NABCO) which he says has created relief for many youths who hitherto would have been home idle and desperate.

Mr Afenyo-Markin mentioned the government’s digitization drive to rope in more people into the formal sector that is very visible for everyone to see.

He opined that when the opposition NDC was in power they boldly stated that there was no way electricity tariffs could come down but when President Akufo-Addo came into power “there has been discount reduction up to 17%”.

Mr Afenyo-Markin also alluded to the Nursing Training and the Teacher Training allowances that the erstwhile NDC administration flatly told Ghanaians that it was not feasible to achieve in the country.

The Effutu lawmaker said this in an exclusive interview with Dzifa Bampoh to be aired on 3FM’s First Take programme and also on TV3.

“I have said and at the risk of being repetitive, I will reiterate that everything that was said by President Akufo-Addo on his campaign platform, everything that was stated in the manifesto and I want you to refer to it and tell me that Alex we did the fact check and you got it wrong. Everything that was said as a major policy intervention has been implemented by President Akufo-Addo”, he stated.

He added, “the Free SHS which our friends in opposition said is 419 has been implemented, has been successful. The graduate unemployment situation, the Nation Builders Corp, has introduced a relief of a sort to the many who otherwise would have been sitting at home desperate”.
