The Economic Fighters League says it has been closely monitoring recent developments within the political landscape as prominent figures from the establishment defect to forge alliances with other movements, all aimed at challenging the entrenched dominance of the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress.

The Fighters said they extend a warm welcome to the newly formed alliance between the National Interest Movement, led by Dr. Abu Sakara, and Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change, positioning themselves against the duopoly in anticipation of the 2024 elections.

This is contained in a press release dated April 8 and jointly signed by Fighters John Koomson and Nii Ayi Opare.

Emphasizing the urgent need for profound and essential change, they emphasized the critical role of unity and solidarity in achieving their objectives.

“Collaboration is not merely an option but an imperative if they are to dismantle the entrenched corruption perpetuated by the duopoly and enact enduring change within communities and the nation at large,” a part of the release read.

Highlighting solidarity and collaboration as fundamental principles of any transformative movement, the Fighters underscored their importance in unlocking collective potential and driving meaningful societal change.

In an earlier press release issued on April 2nd, 2024, Fighters urged all Ghanaians to organize and establish alliances with movements opposing the duopoly, underscoring the upcoming election as a pivotal opportunity to rescue and rebuild the nation for future generations.

Addressing the youth of Ghana, Fighters called upon them to actively engage in the political process, emphasizing the prospect of victory through collective action and the imperative role they play in shaping the nation’s future.

“With momentum building towards the 2024 elections, the Economic Fighters League remains steadfast in their commitment to fostering unity, collaboration, and collective action in their pursuit of a more just and equitable society,” the press release concluded.
