A police officer by name Abdul Rashid has died of gunshot wounds sustained at his residence at Abeka Lapaz in Accra. It unclear what or who may be behind the fatal incident on Sunday, July 19. But the pistol used was retrieved by investigators and it is in police custody. “A sister of the deceased, 21-year-old Shakira Nasir who resided with the deceased and was present at the time of the incident is also in police custody, assisting with the investigation,” the police said on Monday, July 20.
