The Police in Tamale has launched a manhunt for a group of people who went on rampage Wednesday in the metropolis and destroyed billboards of the Roads and Highways Minister, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini on who they accused of witch-hunt .

Their action was triggered by rumours that Alhaji Ibrahim Seidu who works with the Ghana Highways in Tamale and contested Alhaji Fuseini in the National Democratic Congress primaries, has been dismissed; something the group believed only be masterminded by Mr Fuseini.

The rampaging group which burnt car tyres in an area called Sakasaka managed to escape arrest but the Police in the metropolis say they have managed to get the names of the ringleaders and currently hunting for them.

The Police say they have contacted Mr. Seidu but he denied the claims that he has been dismissed. Calm has been restored and the Police are patrolling the area.

Meanwhile,  the Regional Communication Officer, the party cannot confirm whether members of the group are supporters of the NDC and will leave it for the Police to investigate.
