The suspect is said to have told the co-tenant that he was in Winneba where he attempted to commit suicide. The co-tenant reported the matter to the Police who came to break into their room to remove the body.

Preliminary investigations have revealed the couple have for sometime been having marital issues as the man is said to have suspected the deceased of having an affair with.

The woman, who operates a local eatery [chop bar] in Kasoa, sometimes stays away from home for three-days in view of the nature of her work; something that heightened the man’s suspicion.

According to Police sources, the couple had a quarrel a week ago when the wife returned home from work. The man had questioned where the wife had been for the about three days she did not come home. It took the intervention of a co-tenant to broker peace between the two.

Kasoa Divisional Police Commander, ACP  Joseph Okloo Gyamera, said the Police are tracing the whereabouts of the Justice since he is the prime suspect in the case.

The body, he said has been deposited at the Police Hospital in Accra for autopsy.
