The second edition of the Media General Start-up and Funding Fair has kicked off in the Ashanti regional capital Kumasi with over 90 businesses exhibiting their products.
Aimed at providing a platform for small and medium scale businesses to make sales, network and learn emerging business trends, the three-day event took off on a high note and it’s expected to run till Sunday, May 19.
From make-up brands, to fashion brands and drugs amongst others, hundreds of businesses are expected to partake in this year’s fair at the Kumasi City Mall car park.
The maiden fair held last year in Accra at the Trade Fair Center had lots of businesses showcasing their products, making sales and having experts speak to them about how to properly brand their businesses for better sales.
This year promises to be better, with more surprises expected to come the way of both exhibitors and patrons.
Speaking at the launch of this year’s fair in Kumasi, Group CEO of the Media General Group, Beatrice Aqyemang said the media group is committed to using its platforms to promote indigenous Ghanaian businesses.
She charged businesses present at the fair to make use of the opportunity given them to learn and grow their businesses.
