[Update] Six confirmed dead, 22 others injured in Bunso accident

Six persons have been confirmed dead in an accident which occurred at Nsutem, near Bunso in the Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region of the Eastern Region Tuesday. Some twenty two other passengers who suffered critical injuries are receiving treatment at the Hawa Memorial Hospital, New Tafo Hospital and the Kyebi Government Hospital. Bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Hawa Memorial Hospital morgue  and the rest at the Kyebi Government Hospital for autopsy. The accident occurred at about 11:45am on when a tipper truck with registration number GT 6246-11 which was traveling towards Kumasi failed breaks. The truck first hit and ran over a Sprinter mini bus with registration number GX 3787-13 which was carrying 20 passengers before hitting a cargo vehicle with registration number AS 9153.
