Hundreds of relatives, politicians, loved ones and sympathizers gathered at Akim Tafo in the Eastern Region to observe the one week of the death of former MP for Abuakwa North, J.B. Danquah Adu.

The MP was stabbed to death at his private residence at East Legon in Accra in what many believed to be a contract killing on February 9, 2016.

The family is expected to announce the date for his final funeral rites today.

He was survived by a wife and two children. The former legislator died at the age of 51.
