Five persons were killed on spot when an articulated truck rammed into a taxi Saturday afternoon at Obiri Junction, Assakae in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
The deceased, who were all in the taxi with the registration number WR 4956-12, included three kids and an old woman.
According to eyewitnesses, the articulated truck, which was travelling on top speed on the newly constructed bypass, rammed into the taxi was that was moving from Assakae from Kwesimintsim.
The taxi was seriously mangled, particularly the right side.
