Panways Made in Nature, a producer of organic food products from the Western Region of Ghana, has entered into a joint venture agreement with SAPORI DICASA of Italy and FITRADE SA Lugano of Switzerland.
Headquartered in Takoradi, the capital of the Western Region of Ghana, the new business venture to be known and called Made in Nature organic foods will launch products under both Sapori Dicasa, Fidtrade SA and Panways Made in Nature.
The products will include organic cocoa, coconut, chilly pepper, sunflower, as well as other selected tropical fruits and vegetables.
The partnership is expected to position Panways Made in Nature to expand its offerings of organic, ready-to-eat products unto the global markets particularly Europe.
Founded about a decade ago and with global industrial presence, Panways Made in Nature has in-depth knowledge of the varieties of raw, organic, vegan and gluten-free products for global markets particularly Western and Eastern Europe.
Panways Made in Nature foods is represented by its managing partner, Patrick Kwesie, and President of the Panways Group, Dr. luigi Brescia.
SAPORI DICASA is also represented by renowned food processing Technologist Dr. CLAUDIO LACOPONI while Professor Maurizio Zadra represents FIDTRADE SA OF LUGANO SWITZERLAND, a global commodity firm with wide experience in organic food engineering across Western and Eastern Europe
The partnership will also see to the setting up of a cocoa and coconut processing factory in the Jomoro municipality. The factory will develop and integrate organic farming practices to small and medium holder farmers ultimately for national development through government’s One District, One Factory (1D1F) initiative.
The joint venture is also expected to stimulate hundreds of job opportunities to the teeming youth of Nzema and beyond from farming, retailing and export of the final products.
In an interview with Connect FM after a short signing ceremony, Managing Partner of Pathways Patrick Kwesie prayed for government’s support for the new business venture to reach its full potential.
“Already members of this new venture have created incredible products that stand out. And in addition to dried fruits, this venture also seeks to produce organic frozen pizzas, which products contain no sulfur, artificial or bioengineered ingredients, or refined sugar. We will also introduce cocoa and coconut chips.”
