The slabs were contained in 64 bags and concealed under sacks of poultry feed which were being freight in a Mercedes Benz truck on the Kpong-Atimpoku road.
One person, 33-year old driver of the truck, Nicholas Asare, has been arrested by the Police and currently being processed for court.
This is the second biggest seizure indian hemp in the Region within the last month by the Police. About two weeks ago, the Police 204 bags of the substances at Apesika from some 21 houses.
The latest arrest was the result of a tip-off to the Police Patrol team at Akuse. The Police say on February 20, it got information that the suspect was transporting the substances in a truck with the registration AW 138-15 on the Kpong-Atimpoku-Tema road in the Lower Manya Krobo District at about 5:30AM.

The Police quickly moved in and intercepted the truck. An extensive search on the truck revealed the 64 sacks of the suspected Indian hemp packed under 129 sacks of poultry feed with the intention of outwitting security personnel.
Eastern Regional Crime Officer, Chief Supt. Edward Faakye-Kumi, commended those whose information led to the arrest, and also appealed to the public to assist the police with reliable information.
