One killed in trotro accident, seven injured

One person is dead and seven others injured in a Monday morning accident involving three vehicles at Anloga in Kumasi . A commercial mini bus (trotro) was said to have failed brakes, a situation that caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and crashed into an Opel Astra taxi and a Toyota Highlander, which were travelling in the opposite direction.The trotro, registered AS 1569-Y, which was mangled, was commuting from Anloga Junction in Kumasi to Sokoban when the accident occured at about 6:00AM Monday.One passenger was pronounced dead on arrival at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. Seven other passengers on board the trotro sustained various degree of injuries. They are currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. NADMO coordinator for Subin Sub-metro, Dela Godwin, cautioned motorists against excessive speeding. The police have meanwhile commenced investigations into the cause of the accident.
