The road to Parliament for aspirants of Berekum East Constituency in the Bono Region for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) just got busy as political and security analyst, Solomon Kyere-Boadu, filed his nomination forms on Friday, January 31, 2020. Solomon Kyere-Boadu, affectionately called King Solomon, speaking to 3news.com after filing his nomination said being the first of the aspirants to pick and submit his forms spells victory not only for him but the Berekum East Constituency at large. “I picked nomination forms on Sunday, January 26, 2020 and successfully filed same in less than a week. My seriousness and preparedness to turn the fortunes of Berekum around and cause the needed development that we seek explains my speed,” he said. King Solomon says, he is “going to lead a youth-driven development agenda by giving opportunities to the youth through skills development in the various trades and assist in setting them up”. He says he is determined to restore the lost accolade of Berekum, The Golden City, by first uniting the traditional council, religious and opinion leaders, business men and women, and political leaders to harness the city’s development. Solomon Kyere-Boadu picked his nomination forms after he was featured on the popular column ‘Talking Drum’, authored by Solomon Mensah, in which he was urged to contest for the seat of the Berekum East Constituency.
