According to them, the behaviour of some supporters of opposition party smacks of lack of love for Ghana.
Speaking at a victory rally held at the Trade Fair Center in La, the supporters claim they fought and won a clean battle.
“We fought a battle,” said one supporter, “and finally we have won so there is the need for celebration.”
“But it is very unfortunate the way NPP are behaving as if they are not Ghanaians,” he added.
“This victory is for [President John] Mahama,” said one other supporter from the Volunteers for Mahama group.
“[President] Mahama will win, win and win again, one-touch,” she said.
Others think the NPP is fighting a lost battle.
“The NDC has won the election, which has been declared by the Electoral Commission that is why we of the Greater Accra Region came together to enjoy.”
Groups such as Zongo for Mahama, Ladies and Women for Mahama, Youth and Volunteers for Mahama and other groups formed during the run-up to the General Elections converged at the Center to celebrate, slowing vehicular movement on the La main road.
The supporters were joined by NDC’s leading members including the Chairman of the Greater Accra Region, Joseph Ade-Coker.

Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region have said that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are fighting a lost battle over their impending legal challenge of the 2012 Election results.
