Frederick Fredua Antoh is being elected to the position again

Three persons with the highest votes in the Vice Chair elections of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)  were declared winners on Saturday, as part of the 26th delegates’ conference.

Seven persons had contested for the three positions at the 2018 Annual National Delegates’ Congress held at the Koforidua Technical University.

Among the seven was a former Member of Parliament, George Isaac Amoo, and a former regional minister, Agnes Asangalisa Chigabatia.

But both experienced politicians failed to secure places on the three vacant positions.

With 3,671 votes, Madam Rita Asobayire came first to become the First National Vice Chair.

FF Antoh’s 3,125 votes made him the Second Vice Chair while Michael Omare Wadie’s 3,028 of votes garnered made him the Third Vice Chair.

The other contestants in this race were Vida Agyekum Acheampong and Emmanuel Ken-Wuud.

Vida polled 1, 107 votes to come last while Mr Ken-Wuud polled 1,325 votes.

The vice chairs will help the National Chairman in the running of affairs at the top.
