Nigeria’s leader Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday pay a one-day courtesy visit to Ghana in what will be his first official visit to Accra.

The retired army general will be welcomed to Ghana by President John Dramani Mahama.

The two will meet at the Golden Jubilee Lounge of the Kotoka International Airport, an advisory from the Flagstaff House said.

“They will proceed to hold bilateral discussions,” the advisory on Sunday, September 6 said.

“There will be a joint statement to the media at the end of the discussions.”

President Buhari came to power in May after defeating former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in elections in March.
