The Osu Kinkawe Dzaase and Elders in the Osu Traditional Area have dismissed reports that a new Osu Mantse has been installed.
A statement issued by the Osu Kinkawe Dzaase on Sunday September 5 described the development as despicable and irresponsible and further indicated that persons behind that act would be dealt with appropriately by the traditional authorities.
“The Osu Kinkawe has taken note of a purported installation of an Osu Mantse. This act is said to have been done by one Oklemekuku, Head of Family of Teinor We within the Osu Kinkawe quarterof the Osu Traditional Area with the support of Nii Kwabena Bonne V, Osu Alata Mantse (Osu Alata Quarter) and Nuumo Gbelemfo , Gua Wulomo ( Osu Ashanti Quarter).
“The Osu Kinka We Dzaase would first of all like to call for calm in all the fur quarters of the Osu Traditional Area while we deal with appropriately with the culprits.
“We would not allow this despicable and irresponsible act to disorganize to disturb the long overdue peace process that is at its climax with the traditional area.
“We also want to put it on record and make it categorically clear that a new Osu Mantse has not been installed by the Osu Kinkawe Dzaase, the accredited Dzaase with the sole mandate with the authority to install and ensure that the rightful person is duly installed for the good people of Osu.”
