Interim General Secretary of the National Democratic Party, Dr. Josiah Aryeh, threatens to take the Electoral Commission to court, a day after the candidature of the Party’s flagbearer was rejected.

Dr. Josiah Aryeh was speaking exclusively to TV 3’s Edward Balami in an interview.

He says theEC’s rejection of the candidature of Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings ‘was unconstitutional.’

According to the law lecturer, the EC’s reasons for the rejection of the forms of former First Lady Nana Konadu were implausible.

He says the anomalies cited by the EC with the forms only smacks of sabotage.

He is, however, hopeful the EC will accede to their demands and re-instate the NDP in the presidential race.

“Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings is unperturbed and we hope the EC will change its decision,” he says.

“We will give up and allow the law to take its course,” Dr Aryeh says when he is asked by Edward Balami what action the party will take next if the court ruling favours the EC.
