Nat’l Cadet Corps Ghana to hold 63rd Republic Day Parade

The National Cadet Corps Ghana, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ghana Education Service, the Ghana Armed Forces, other Security Services and the National Youth Authority, is delighted to announce the commemoration of the 63rd Republic Day on Saturday, July 1 with a parade.

The event will take place at the iconic Black Stars Square, symbolizing the country’s unity and national pride.

The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Esprit De-Corps, Our Strength and Purpose’.

The overarching aim is to highlight the significance of patriotism, precision, discipline, volunteerism, unity, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose in fostering national development and progress among Ghana’s future – The youth.

“As we commemorate this historic occasion, we recognize the invaluable contributions of our cadets and the profound impact they have had over the years on our nation’s pride,” the Corps said in a press release on Saturday, June 24.

This year, the Guest of Honour and Reviewing Officer is the Chief of Staff at the Office of the President, Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare.

“Her presence reflects the government’s commitment to youth development and the recognition of the National Cadet Corps as a vital institution shaping the leaders of tomorrow.”

The Republic Day event promises to be a memorable and inspiring occasion, filled with vibrant displays by Cadets drawn from educational institutions in all 16 regions of Ghana across the country to showcase the training and skills through captivating drills and demonstrations, reflecting the core values of the National Cadet Corps Ghana.

All attendees have been asked to adhere to a formal dress code with a touch of the colours of the national flag – red, gold and green – to symbolize national pride and cultural heritage.
