Media General’s annual Startup Fair and Funding Summit for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) has started at the Junction Mall, Nungua in Accra.
The three-day event creates a bigger platform for SMEs to showcase their products and services to thousands of people across the country and beyond.
Participants will also get financial advice and be educated by well-established entrepreneurs and experts on how to source funding for their business as well as keys to business growth.
Over 90 SMEs in almost all the sectors of the economy are participating in this year’s event which will end on Sunday, December 8.
The businesses are offering mouthwatering discounts on their prducts and services.
Speaking at the opening ceremony for this year’s fair and summit, General Manager in charge of Shared Services and Operations at Media General, Winfred Afful said the event gives SMEs millage in their businesses
He noted it is also to encourage as many people as possible, to venture into entrepreneurship through its funding summit, which educates patrons on planning and finding the right funding to start a business.
Clothing and make-up brands, jewelers, dealers in hair, traditional medicine dealers and others are at the junction mall exhibiting their products and services.
