Medeama Sporting Club have been ordered by the Ghana Football Association to play their home games behind closed doors after breaching the Matchday Covid-19 Protocols.

The Tarkwa based club flouted the GFA Matchday Covid-19 protocols when they hosted Accra Hearts of Oak at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa on Thursday.

Following the breach in the protocols which the GFA have been strict on since Government allowed fans entry to the various stadia, the FA has condemned the act and referred Medeama SC to the Disciplinary Committee.

“That Accra Hearts of Oak SC, the home club, is immediately referred to the Disciplinary Committee concerning the breaches of the provisions of the approved GFA Matchday Protocols. The Disciplinary Committee has been tasked to sit on the matter expeditiously.

“That until the case is fully determined, Accra Hearts of Oak SC shall play their home matches behind closed doors at the Accra Sports Stadium,” the decision state.

Medeama Sporting Club are the second club to be banned after Accra Hearts of Oak.
