The death is reported of Mawuena Adzo Trebarh, sister of late Komla Dumor.

Reports say she died in the afternoon of April 11, 2024 after a short illness. She was 52 years old.

Born April 12, 1971, Mawuena Adzo Trebarh, née Dumor, was a Ghanaian businesswoman. Trebarh was the first female CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and the first female underground exploration geologist, amidst a 10,000 strong male-workforce mine-site in the Ashanti Region.

She was also the first female Board Chairperson of Movenpick Ambassador Hotel Ghana. Trebah has worked in both the private and public sectors.

In 2020, she was named as the deputy spokesperson to the John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Election 2020 Campaign. She served as the spokesperson and Head of communications for the office of the vice-presidential candidate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

She is survived by her husband Flight Lieutenant Divine Trebah (Rtd), daughter, brother and father, Prof Ernest Dumor.
