As part of the maiden Student Representative Council (SRC) week celebration, students of the School of Peri-Operative and Critical Care Nursing, Korle Bu will be raising funds to equip the school’s skills laboratory with modern tools and gadgets to help them in their studies.

The Public Relations Officer of the SRC Daniel Gyamfi said the school’s laboratory currently does not have the right equipment that are needed to help in teaching and learning.

Therefore, they are using the SRC week celebration to appeal for funds to resource the laboratory, he said.

The SRC week celebration starts on July 24th and ends on July 30th.

The theme for the event is “Delivering holistic healthcare to every Ghanaian and beyond, the role of Peri-operative and Critical Care Nurse”.

“We will have a launch and cultural display on Monday 24th July 2023, Tuesday 25 July we will have a float and screening and community outreach,” Mr Gyamfi told 3news.com on Friday June 16.

“On Wednesday 26 July, we will have a symposium and a quiz competition and then on Thursday 27 inter-sporting activities. For the symposium, we have invited the Acting Director of Nursing Services Korle Bu and our Principal Ms Faustina Excel Adipa.

“Our major goal is that we want to raise funds and equip our skills laboratory so we are falling on our partners to come on board. As health students, there are some equipment we read about in the books but we don’t have the real experience in using them and so we want to resource our laboratory with this equipment,” he added.
