Kafaba 90-yr-old’s lynching: Court remands prime suspect

The Bole Magistrate Court, presided over by His Worship Andrew Prince Cudjoe, has remanded spiritualist Hajia Serena Mohammed into police custody.

Hajia Serena Mohammed was at the forefront of the lynching of a 90-year-old woman, Akua Denteh, at Kafaba in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.

The incident occurred on Thursday, July 23.

The spiritualist is to reappear in court on Thursday, August 20.

She was arrested in Yeji on Tuesday after police mounted a manhunt for her.

Her arrest brought to 7 the number of accused persons who have been grabbed by the police.

All except the Chief of Kafaba, Seidu Yahaya, have been remanded by the Bole Magistrate Court.

The Chief was granted bail.
