The former National Organiser polled 4,277 votes to beat sole contender Richard Ahiagbah. Richard Ahiagbah polled 1,274 votes. The results were certified by the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC), who supervised the elections. Mr Boadu will succeed Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, who was handed an indefinite suspension in 2015, as the party’s new scribe. He had the backing of President Nana Akufo-Addo and a member of the 2016 ‘winning team’. John Boadu has had little time to talk about his ambitions as he has been more concerned about the general programme. Source: 3news.com|Ghana ]]>
