New Patriotic Party firebrand and MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyepong, has strongly indicated he will personally deal with Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko if the police fails to ensure justice in the ‘murder’ of Adams Mahama, former NPP Upper East Regional Chairman.

Mr. Agyepong in his usual ranting style joined the speculative reports that suggested the party Chairman and General Secretary may have a hand in the acid attack on Mr. Mahama following the fracas that ensued in Bolgatanga a fortnight ago.

He said “Kwabena Agyepong, does he think he is going to stay alive? Because of Nana Addo must you kill somebody? If the police doesn’t ensure justice in this matter, I am sure the NDC will be happy by trying to cover it up; but I bet you, neither Afoko nor Kwabena Agyepong will ever come out from wherever they are hiding”.

“I swear to God, nobody can stop us in this party. Then we will collapse the party if that’s what they want. If there’s no justice, then there won’t be peace. I am telling you. Kwabena Agyepong and Afoko must face the full rigors of the law. If they don’t face it, we in the NPP will make them face the law. Mark it on the wall today; I am challenging them” he stated.

Mr. Agyepong says the two national leaders will not be allowed to have their peace if they are exonerated in the incident.

Mr. Agyepong without providing concrete proof, extended his accusations to include a former Chief of Staff in the NPP era, Kwadwo Mpianim, as one of those behind the perceived factionalism that led to the death of the NPP regional chairman.

He even made reference to Former President Kufuor as having a hand in that factionalism. Mr. Agyepong made the startling revelations when he appeared on a political programme ‘Boiling Point’ on Oman FM, a station he owns.

He said “I am sure Kwadwo Mpianim is also happy about this. Today, they are collapsing the party; I am accusing some of these leaders including Mpianim because they were hiding behind all the confusion and the nonsense. Adams is dead; so all of you are now satisfied but you people will know no peace. It won’t work. Who is Kwabena Agyepong or Paul Afoko?

He indicated that “I am part of those who brought Afoko to power so we will show him that we brought them to power. Every time Nana Addo takes things a bit too lightly. It was the same way he handled the case where Paul Afoko pulled a gun on the Nasara Coordinator where he was only asking people to be patient and then later on, people like Arthur Kennedy came to say that he Nana Addo was rather destroying the party.”

Mr. Agyepong says they will sacrifice or collapse the party rather than allow such a heinous crime to go unpunished. The Host of the show ended the interview as Mr. Agyepong, would not allow him to make his points or ask follow up questions.

He told the host “Don’t honourable me; Kwadwo Mpianim and his boss; I will reveal things today because nobody deserves to die in this party. We have supported you to come to power and you have made money for yourselves and you are using it to kill people. I have evidence here to proof that Kwadwo Mpianim’s bodyguard threatened to kill me”.

“You Kwadwo Mpainim and your boss cannot come and enjoy your positions in Ghana then after you have left you decide to destroy Ghana. There is going to be a real showdown in the party. You can go off if you want, Mr. Agyepong told the Host of the show.”

Mr. Adams Mahama who died Thursday after an acid attack is due to be buried on Saturday contrary to Islamic tradition. This is to allow flagbearer of the party to return from Germany to join family and party members for the burial.

The police are so far holding one suspect believed to be a brother to the NPP Chairman Paul Afoko.

Party leaders Nana Addo and his running mate, Dr.Bawumia, have called for calm to allow thorough police investigations.

Police have also been deployed to strategic areas of NPP interest to forestall any mayhem.
