Francis-Xavier Sosu wants his ban to be reversed[/caption] The Court of Appeal has dismissed an application filed by human rights lawyer Francis Xavier Sosu on the grounds that the Court has no jurisdiction to hear his application. Presiding judge Henry Anthony Kwofie said the counsel for Francis Sosu should have filed the notice of appeal at the registry of the General Legal Council instead of the High Court. Lawyer Francis Sosu had filed an application for stay of execution at the High Court, seeking to suspend the implementation of the General Legal Council’s sanctions on him until he is done with his appeal. Lawyer Francis Sosu was given a three-year ban by the Council after being found guilty of overcharging a client and advertizing on social media, an act that amounts to professional conduct, according to the Council. He had contested the ban on him as unfair and went back to the Court of Appeal. By PD Wedam|3news.com|Ghana ]]>
