President Akufo-Addo has urged the Nation Builder’s Corps (NABCO) recruits to put in their best as they are deployed to work in various sectors of the economy, to help Ghana become a nation that they can boast of. Hundred thousand graduates have been enrolled onto the seven modules of the programme and are expected to be on it for the next three years with a monthly allowance of ₵700. Addressing the passing out ceremony for the trainees at the Black Star Square on Wednesday, October 17, the president encouraged them to be hardworking. “Help build a nation you will be proud of”, he admonished them. He also observed the government has invested ₵3 billion into the whole project as such they should work hard to “earn every pesewa”. Nana Akufo-Addo also used the platform to commend the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is the head of the economic management team for seeing to the ‘successful’ rolling out of the programme.
