GJA releases award winners; TV3 represented strongly

L-R: Evelyn Tengmaa, Portia Gabor, Peter Quao Adattor[/caption] A total of 39 individuals and nine media organizations have been nominated by the Ghana Journalists Association to be honoured at the 24th GJA Media Awards. The event has been slated for Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra. The chairperson of the 24th media awards committee, Mrs. Betty Apau-Oppong who announced the nominees at a news conference in Accra Monday said the nominees were selected from 368 entries submitted in various categories. The nominees, dominated by state-owned Daily Graphic and Ghana News Agency, had three journalists of Ghana’s leading private TV station, TV3: Portia Gabor, Evelyn Tengmaa and Peter Quao Adattor The TV3, a brand of Media General, was also nominated by the awards committee. The award nominees are as follows:
