Ghana Prisons Service appoints four Deputy Directors General

Four senior officers of the Ghana Prisons Service have been appointed by President Akufo-Addo to the position of Deputy Directors General.

This is contained in a press statement released on Thursday, February 8, by the Service and signed by Superintendent of Prisons, Adamu Abdul Latif, Chief Public Relations Officer.

The release stated that the appointments were in accordance with Article 207 of the 1992 Constitution and on the advice of the Prisons Service Council.

They are; Dr. Francis Omane-Addo, who until this appointment served as the Director of Prisons in charge of Technical, Mrs. Patience Baffoe-Bonnie, previously the Director of Prisons in charge of Services, Mr. Robin Asamoah Fenning, formerly the Central Regional Commander and Officer in Charge of the Ankaful Maximum Security Prison, and Mr. Simon Yao Adzah, the Officer in Charge of the Tarkwa Local Prison.

The release further disclosed that the appointments became effective on February 1, 2024.
